Hello. My name is Daniel Collins. Here at the Socratic Inquirer I seek to provide anyone willing to think with the day’s philosophical musings and news, as well as an opportunity to express yourself and your own philosophy in the discussion forums (under construction). The aim is to provide a venue for people to open their minds to something a little more relevant to their existences rather than the everyday mundane. The fact that you are actually reading this has lead me to the conclusion that perhaps you actually want to know a little more about this blog’s operations and myself. I might be able to understand the former, but I believe you are a very sad and lonely individual if you truly desire the latter.
The aim of the Socratic method and inquiry (the blog’s obvious namesake) is to subject ideas to scrupulous questioning as well as to barrage with inquiry the ideas which are considered to be true in order to arrive at a higher and lasting truth. Socratic inquiry in this light is imperative to the functionality of any democracy. Following this method, it becomes obvious that my goal will be that there will eventually be no one left unoffended as I subject their cherished beliefs to an unmerciful attack of logic and reason.
The blog as well as the discussion boards are still under construction. This is just a short introduction to what you will very most likely be seeing in the future. But even the about page right now is under formation, so if you wish to know more about this blog and myself, you will simply have to wait.
In the mean time if you wish to drop some comments and/or suggestions for this blog, please feel free to do so by contacting me by either one of the following means:

Have you ever heard about the book (or relevant regularly meeting groups with the same name) Socrates CafĂ©? I’ve been wanting to check it out for some time. I think there’s also a group that meets at the Panera Bread on 256 in Reynoldsburg.
